Being able to crawl on a narrow surface is also a great movement to have in your movement repertoire.
When you master the basic “log crawl”, we can add some complexity. Like moving a stone. Forward:

For those of you familiar with the Original Strength terminology, let’s do a dynamic speed skater/bird dog drill while balancing on the log:
And then touching your hand or elbow to your knee. Crossing the midline:
Still using the speed skater/bird dog starting position, and then lifting a stone. As you’ll see in the video, this also challenges grip strength.
